Welcome to the Georgia High School Basketball Project!
As the creator of the Georgia High School Helmet Project, I felt like I needed to do something for the basketball fans of the state. So, I decided to do a companion site. I debated about doing it because I knew it would be a LOT of work; and I was right in that assumption! It has been a tremendous amount of work! Not just for me, but for my webmaster as well! I couldn’t begin to count the hours I’ve spent researching EVERY team that plays basketball. I wanted to include the “non-football” playing schools in this project since they obviously couldn't be part of the helmet project. Even though I'm now close to retirement, I still have a passion for this sort of thing.
I feel these balls well represent each school’s mascot, colors, etc. and can proudly be displayed on websites, schedules, and media outlet coverage. And the good thing about these are, they won’t have to be constantly updated like the helmets. I tried to use each school’s primary logo on their ball. Those logos will likely never change; or if they do, it wouldn’t be near as frequent as a football helmet. These balls are “downloadable” to ANYONE that wants to use them on their school schedule page, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Just remember, to download a ball, you must “right click” on the ball of your choice, select “Save as,” and then save it to your computer. DO NOT select the “Copy Image” option. If you do that, you WILL lose the transparent background.
I hope all the hard work myself and my webmaster, (Johnny
Walton of Lincoln County Red Devils.com), have put in to create
this site will benefit you, the Georgia High School Basketball fan!
